Launched in March 2017, Fashion for Good (FFG) aims to reimagine how fashion is designed, made, worn and reused. This open and inclusive initiative – with its first physical hub in Amsterdam and a global ambition brings together brands, retailers, producers, innovators and funders. 

Fashion for Good is changing the apparel industry through innovation and collaboration. Its Innovation Platform scouts, nurtures and funds early-stage ideas and it scales proven technologies and business models for wider adoption by the industry. Its Good Fashion Fund catalyses access to finance and its open-source Good Fashion Guide shares knowledge to help the apparel industry transform. As a convenor for change, Fashion for Good enables conversation and collaboration, bringing together co-locators at its first hub in Amsterdam, as well as visitors to the Fashion for Good Experience to learn more about Good Fashion. 

Fashion for Good was launched with C&A Foundation as a founding partner. Its programmes are supported by corporate partners adidas, C&A, Bestseller, Galeries Lafayette, Kering, Target, Otto Group, PVH, Stella McCartney and Zalando, with estimated combined retail sales of over €130 billion.

HIRING: Community Host Position:   Community Host Company:   Fashion for Good B.V. Location:   Amsterdam, The Netherlands Start date:   as soon as possible Employment type:  full-time   POSITION SUMMARY & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Within a short timeframe of less than 2 years, Fashion for Good has established itself as the go-to platform for sustainable fashion innovation. One of the core components of our organisation is the Circular Apparel Community; by inviting key circular apparel organisations and entrepreneurs to co-locate with us, we are building a powerful community more able to connect, collaborate and create the change we are striving for. Given this work, we seek a Community Host who will support our Circular Apparel Community at our headquarters in Amsterdam. The Community Host will work directly with our Community Manager, creating a welcoming and collaborative environment for our 90+ members that call Fashion for Good home. This is achieved through building relationships and hosting community activities, and ensuring the building is fully operational and representable.  Key responsibilities of the  Host  include:   Community   Preparation and upkeep of community spaces to ensure community members can start their day with a smile (turning on lights, checking meeting rooms, monitoring and refilling community kitchen and café, checking co-working space and phone booths)  Point of contact for community members  Provide general support and welcome visitors before the museum opens   Set-up and clean-up of community lunches   Manage in-house inventory and incoming consumables (work with temp agency, Experience hosts and suppliers)  Play an active role in shaping the community and improve current processes Meetings & Events   Monitor meeting rooms on an ongoing basis (clean, well-kept, all amenities present).   Manage and execute external and internal meeting room bookings independently including staffing, break out rooms, lunch and in-room catering. In addition, support events when necessary.   Building Operations & Management    Being the eyes and ears in the building when it comes to plants, waste, cleaning company, and other office needs. Handle and distribute incoming requests via email, phone and post.   Responsible for keeping the building neat and coordinating maintenance and upkeep with Office Manager and Experience Team.   QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate has a relevant track record and an affinity for sustainability combined with strong interpersonal skills, and a self-starting, pro-active attitude. The following qualifications are essential:  Detail–oriented, representative, and punctual  Service-minded, hospitable and an enthusiastic team player  Hands-on, can-do attitude and able to deal with uncertainty  Confidence in working in an international and entrepreneurial / start-up setting   Capacity to adapt to different circumstances, easily navigating between different cultures and organisation settings  A desire to learn and seek new challenges   Creative thinking with the ability for sound judgement and accountability  Living in Amsterdam, ability to work with a flexible schedule that may change based on the needs of the business  EDUCATION Academic degree (HBO/WO) in a relevant subject and job experience.   LANGUAGES Proficiency in   English  is a requirement, additional fluency in  Dutch    is preferred.   YOUR APPLICATION Please submit your application, consisting of a short motivation letter and your CV, via email with the position you are applying for in the subject title to  applications@fashionforgood.com .  COMPANY BACKGROUND & CULTURE Launched in March 2017, Fashion for Good (FFG) aims to reimagine how fashion is designed, made, worn and reused.
