Job Description Summary

Primarily, but not exclusively, supports the strategic planning and program implementation within the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function. Conducts decision-making research for the Business Line/Division Head. Implements strategy and helps identify business line/division issues early and recommends solutions. Responsible for supporting an array of activities that advance the strategic CSR vision of the Bank. Partners and works closely with leadership in driving strategic initiatives. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Performs strategy formulation, development, implementation, and evaluation to advance the operational success of the CSR Group.

  • Directs Division's operational efforts supporting signature nonprofit partnerships, strategic initiatives and business engagement.

  • Reviews, and recommends improvement of business plans and operations; this includes assessment of organizational readiness for, and exercise of, operational agility and flexibility.

  • Develops and refines Bank-wide CSR goals, and develops and implements jointly with Business Line projects and programs to achieve those goals.

  • Engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that critical strategic decisions are vetted and well thought out prior to execution. Ensures project dependencies are clearly defined and communicated appropriately in terms of time required to complete.

  • Assists Division Heads with central issues, policies and procedures, thought leadership, analysis and administration, as needed.

  • Maintains close working relationship with BNPP Group colleagues to ensure alignment on policy compliance, reporting obligations, stakeholder engagement and joint initiatives.

  • Researches programs, capabilities and processes of best-in-class competitors, vendors and industry experts to identify best practices that will improve Division efficiency, effectiveness, and impact. Defines and deliver projects to introduce and institute those best practices.


Other Job Duties

  • Leads special projects for Division as directed by Division Head, as needed by any other group/department of the Bank.

  • Manages BOTW Charitable Foundation operations and guides the development of foundation strategy.

  • Develops strategy for, and supports the execution of, major events in coordination with business colleagues and/or external partners.

  • Represents CSR on the Bank’s Crisis Management Team.  Advises on disaster response strategy and executes recommended actions.

  • Influences the development of CSR Committee meeting agendas, prepares meeting materials, and the serves as CSR Committee Secretary.

  • Serves as local CSR point of contact and subject matter expert for SCD team members.  Manages regional charitable investments and nonprofit partnerships as required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Experience

  • Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • May have deep knowledge of project management

  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.


  • Bachelor's Degree


  • Excellent knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility and Philanthropy

  • Experience with Community Relations and Regulatory Oversight

  • Strong working knowledge of CRA

  • Excellent knowledge and ability to synthesize data into meaningful presentations.

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

  • Experience with CyberGrants

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to perform with complete autonomy.

  • Good organizational skills, sales and marketing knowledge.
