The Corporate Engagement Program (which encompasses our shareholder advocacy work) aims to influence the business community to support reproductive healthcare, rights, and justice in four areas of corporate activity: insurance, benefits, public policy positions, and political spending. Our shareholder advocacy program facilitates engagement between investors and the management of publicly traded corporations to advance this agenda. We also produce research and publications aimed at companies, investors, and policymakers, such as Hidden Value: The Business Case for Reproductive Health, blogs, op-eds, and other materials.
To date, the program has advanced its goals largely by working in collaboration with a network of institutional investors and through our research and publications. This program is expanding to bring our business case for reproductive and maternal health directly to state and federal policymakers as well.
The Senior Associate will report to and work in close collaboration with the Director of Corporate Engagement and will work in the following areas:

Reach out to corporate leaders to advance our business case and advocate for specific improvements in corporate policies. Bring the investor perspective to elected officials and other public policymakers. Help increase support for shareholder proposals.
Research. Monitor state and federal legislation to identify opportunities for action. Research topics related to reproductive and maternal healthcare policy, reproductive rights, reproductive justice, insurance, corporate responsibility, and more.
Relationship management. Develop and maintain relationships with experts in the field, peer organizations, corporate managers, institutional investors, lawmakers, and others. Represent Rhia in working groups and other collaborative efforts
Programmatic communications. Develop fact sheets, toolkits, issue briefs, op-eds and other materials for diverse audiences including corporations, investors, lawmakers, advocacy partners and the public. Represent Rhia Ventures at external events.
