Early Career (0-3 years) CSR/Sustainability

Job Description

Dopper is using our business as a force for good. We are a B Corp and our bottles are Cradle-to-CradleTM certified. But we want EVERYTHING WE DO to contribute to a better world. We’re talking carbon footprints, environmental legislation and so much more. Are you an ocean-saving hero with a fascination for compliance? Dive in!

Does this sound like you?
You are super proactive. Before you’ve even read the paragraph below, you can barely stop yourself from diving into all opportunities for Dopper when it comes to compliance. You are eager to learn and you are one of those people that actually likes doing research. Even when it comes to heavy literature, you LOVE investigating and getting to the bottom of it. And you can effortlessly turn your findings into plans and projects. Some would even call you a natural project manager. And you don’t quit. Even when you are dealing with slow-moving third tier partners, you go in full octopus-mode, not letting go until they are on board! But you’re no creepy stalker. You are fun, responsible and someone you can count on. Also when our fridge contains beers that are about to expire.

A day in the life of our Sustainable Innovation Specialist
Of course, you will be managing the day-to-day compliance issues. From arranging (food safety) testing on Dopper products to making sure our bottles get re-certified as Cradle-to-CradleTM products. And of course, keeping an eye on the collaboration with our production partners and their BSCI audits. You know about recent legal and regulatory changes and act on them.

But we want to do more. Dopper is a B Corp. Which is cool. We’re part of a global movement of organizations that is using business as a force for good. Our bottles are battling plastic pollution, but we want EVERYTHING we do to contribute to a better world. From improving our environmental compliance and carbon footprint, to a full blown take-back process for discarded Dopper products. We have a basic idea about what we want to improve, but you will be the one leading the way. For a start, you will manage our declaration of compliance documents, create a strategy to reduce our carbon footprint and conduct a lifecycle assessment.

Are you up for the challenge? This would help:

  • 1-2 years of experience;
  • An education HBO/WO level in Sustainability or similar;
  • Experience in project management;
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch;
  • Knowledge of social and environmental affairs. Chemical knowledge is a plus;
  • Knowledge of sustainable product development;
  • You have strong adminstrative skills.

Want to know who you’d be working with? Digitally wave hello to NielsPaul and Gabriela.

What’s in it for you?
We know you don’t apply for a job just for a decent shot of caffeine in the morning – even though our coffee is pretty good. What is so different about working at Dopper? First of all, you’re not just doing your job, you’re actually making a change in the world. We’re on a mission and that ties our team together. Kumbaya. Now before you think this means singing songs about saving our oceans and working 160 hours a week: it doesn’t. Sounds good? There’s more. At this moment, Dopper is growing rapidly. And especially internationally. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hop on board and learn A LOT.

Needless to say, we think Dopper is a great place to work. And that’s official: Dopper made the list of ‘Great Place to Work 2019’! Do you want to know even more about Dopper? We wrote 10 reasons why we like this company so much.

Applied for the job? Of course you did. Make sure we have received your application before 18 November 2019 at https://jobs.dopper.com/.
