Job Description

company. Azura continues to invest in its sustainability department, which works across all
areas of the business. As such, Azura seeks to hire an Environmental Impact Manager to
support environmental performance measurement and improvement in the company. The
Environmental Impact Manager reports to the Group Sustainability Directory. The job is based
in Morocco with travel 30% of the time. Competitive salary. Start date March 2020.

The Environmental Impact Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing and decreasing the group’s impact on the environment
  • Measuring and evaluating existing impacts and risk areas
  • Monitoring progress towards targets and working across the company to ensure targets
    are met in relationship to carbon emissions, water use, waste management, energy use,
    biodiversity and other indicators as needed
  • Collecting and managing data related to and indicators to meet those objectives in line
    with international targets for impact reduction
  • Update the company’s LCA
  • Provide data requested for audits and clients on environmental impact measurements
    as needed in addition to supporting reporting
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of projects to reduce/manage impacts with
    other teams in the company
  • Monitor international and national regulations and trends to ensure compliance and
    visionary design in Azura’s strategy



Conditions for success:

The Environmental Impact Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • BBachelor's or Master's degree in civil and/or environmental engineering, chemical
    engineering, and/or related application driven field
  • At least 3 years in relevant environmental management and/or multi-disciplinary
    engineering experience in industry
  • Experience with life cycle assessment analysis
  • Experience managing environmental/regulatory or governmental policy compliance and
    interpreting regulations for practical applications
  • Knowledge of project management phases is a plus
  • External engagement and/or supplier management experience is a plus
  • Fluency in French and English, Arabic a plus
