We are looking a part-time, remote intern to support us with content + research + social media communications. Our ideal candidate has some experience with writing content, email/social media communications, research, and has a strong passion to create change for women. This is a part-time role, requiring 5-8 hours of work per week, for a minimum of 4 months. An hourly stipend of $15 (USD) will be provided. About the Open Apparel Registry (OAR) The Open Apparel Registry (OAR) is a neutral, open source tool mapping garment facilities worldwide and allocating a unique ID to each. Since launching at the end of March 2019, the OAR has grown to include over 53,000 facilities uploaded by more than 250 Contributors, including major global brands, multi-stakeholder initiatives, civil society organisations and factory groups. The tool is used by stakeholders across the apparel sector to eliminate confusion and facilitate collaboration, enabling interoperability across systems and tackling the long-standing industry problem of facility identification. As well as many other efficiency and process benefits, the way that the OAR organizes and presents data ultimately improves the lives of some of the most vulnerable workers in global supply chains. We are a team of passionate changemakers with deep experience designing and building coalitions that create positive social impact.   As Associate Director of Communications, you will help craft external strategy and communications across the organization. You will help create a clear, consistent voice for Meteorite that reflects our commitment to excellence and impact, and over time, you will help build a communications team to help power our initiatives and programs.   This is a new role in a rapidly-growing, fast-paced environment. You’ll have the opportunity to:  Work with a diverse and dedicated team;  Engage at the intersection of business and social impact; and, Meaningfully contribute to some of the most pressing issues facing our country, including turning the tide against COVID-19 and strengthening our democracy.
