Your role as Learning Experience Designer As a Learning Experience Designer you will work on various projects developing interactive learning and communication materials using a wide variety of media channels for and with different target groups in emerging economies. All our projects are co-created with our local partners using a Design Thinking approach and are based on a number of learning theories which increase effectiveness and impact. We design learning experiences for a wide variety of technologies as our solutions are based on available channels, we therefore collaborate closely with developers and different tech experts. These will be your main tasks: •Design educational and communication materials with active learning methodologies. •Conduct research: context, educational and technical. •Prepare and facilitate co-creation and prototyping workshops. •Conduct train the trainer sessions. •Guide and manage (local) co-authors, creatives and designers of educational materials remotely. •Making technical briefs for developers, including wireframes, user stories, interfaces, clickable prototypes and aligning technical requirements. •Guide and manage (local) technical developers in the production of technical platform, websites and applications •Integrate user needs and partner/donor requirements into the project development. •Provide support in remote testing activities and develop testing guidelines. •Ensure the use of the BW methodology and contribute to the evolution of the method •Stay up-to-date with innovations in the field of education and learning. •Maintain and develop the network of external suppliers' services and expertise. Profile We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who is used to working independently and taking responsibility for his/her work. You feel at home in a dynamic international working environment. You are thorough and accurate, but with a good sense of priorities. You are tech-savvy, have a hands-on work style so you are able to apply theory to practice easily. You enjoy facilitating workshops and training sessions and have proven skills in writing, structuring and providing technical assistance in the development of education materials and activities. You are able to work remotely with different international partners guiding them in the development of education materials. You are able to visualise your ideas. You have good knowledge of new and old media and technologies, and you can come up with different ways to apply them in our projects. Qualifications and knowledge •A bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of learning experience design or the broader field of education. •Proven experience in active learning methodologies. •At least four years of experience in the development of learning materials, curricula and student centred, participatory learning experiences (online, offline and blended formats) •Technical knowledge and experience in the development of e-learning andm-learning technologies (LMS, authoring tools, MOOCs). •Experience in guiding / managing remote teams in the creation and development of technical solutions. •Experience in building prototypes and user testing techniques. •Knowledge about programming languages and emerging technologies is a plus. •Knowledge of and experience with design thinking (methods). •You have full professional proficiency of English, both spoken and written. Dutch and French are an advantage. •Experience in international development cooperation is a plus. •You are willing to travel to emerging economies and remote areas. •You hold a work permit to work in NL.
